The Jiao Tong Baker Centre for Translation and Intercultural Studies offers two research training schools, both taking place in July on alternate years.
The International Research School for Media Translation and Digital Culture will take place in July 2019 and every other year thereafter. It focuses on researching translation in the context of digital (audiovisual) media and online spaces and is directed by Professor Luis Pérez-González.
The ARTIS International Research School is a collaboration between ARTIS (Advancing Research in Translation and Interpreting Studies) and the Jiao Tong Baker Centre. It will take place in July 2020 and every other year thereafter. The ARTIS School offers a broad programme of research training and is directed by Dr Şebnem Susam-Saraeva.
For each research school, a number of visiting staff will be announced.
